Cookie Monster 5-second Rule

I have trouble with The Muppets. Ask me to name Muppets in a rousing game of Taboo, and I’ll immediately start listing off all the Sesame Street characters I can think of. I know. Blasphemous. It’s not intentional. I swear.

The Older Brother (my brother-in-law, for anyone keeping score) is Muppets obsessed. So, as soon as I saw this commercial on Kotaku for Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster, I emailed him the important news with a rampant amount of caps lock and exclamation points. Of course, at the time, I was thinking “Yay! Muppets for The Older Brother!”

I swear. I really do know what Muppets are. Really. Miss Piggy and Kermit. See? I totally know what I’m talking about.

In my defense, as a youth I pledged my allegiance to the Fraggles.

Regardless, I was surprised to get a reply to my email so quickly. What I was more-so not expecting, however, was that he was already well in the know about the game and was desiring, with flourishing curiosity, to play it. So excited, in fact, that he hopes he’ll be able to play it without having to purchase an Xbox 360 and Kinect.

Now that’s dedication to your fandom.

About Amanda

Amanda is a 20-something flailing gamer. While she loves MMORPGs, the company in them often triggers flare-ups of her social anxiety. Her all-time favorite games include Everquest Online Adventures, Eternal Sonata, the Animal Crossing series, Katamari Damacy, and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. She lives on junk food, and her favorite books are equally trashy. She doesn't believe in putting two spaces after a period, but she does strongly believe in the serial comma. Unfortunately, she has a penchant for starting sentences with "and" and "but;" hopefully you won't hold that, or her excessive use of semicolons, against her.
