Now that I’ve found my copy of The Sims 3, I’m struggling with temptation in spades. I’ve already got The Sims 2, a clearly superior game, all installed and ready on my computer. It even has a boatload of expansion packs coupled with an unspeakable amount of custom content.
Why, then, am I so desperate to preorder The Sims 3 Pets? Is it the $10 Amazon credit for preordering? Is it the exclusive in-game pet store? Is it just the ability to have pets in a game that I might honestly like a bit more with pets?
I hated The Sims 3. Maybe I need to reinstall the game and play it to remember that. Why would I spend $40 to enhance a game I hated? Well, now that I think about it, it’s really only $30 with that $10 credit. It comes out next week, so I’d have plenty of time to play before SWTOR came out.
Oh, jeez, someone please save me from myself!
