So, just before hitting 50 all of the crew skills for TG and I seemed to naturally hit 400. It actually felt paced very well. We didn’t fixate on them or neglect them too soundly, and they puttered along at just the right rate.
Well, they’re kind of useless though. My little Scoundrel went Armstech and his Vanguard went Armormech. I wish we’d realized that once we were level 50, we’d need drops from harder content than we planned to do to make those skills the least bit useful. Hindsight, right?
To make a short story even shorter, we both dropped our crew skills yesterday in favor of more useful skills. I’m taking Biochem, and he’s taking Cybertech. I’ll be able to feed us stims and other delightful consumables while he chucks bombs at people in PvP.
I’ve already worked through 75,000 credits. The cheapskate in me is cringing. The realist in me is worriedly eyeing the 140 or so points I’ve got to go. And the green-eyed monster in me is grumpy that TG got to keep his Scavenging and Underworld Trading since they both work with Cybertech.
Note to self: In the future, actually think before choosing crew skills. You’ll thank yourself later.
